레이디 가가

그녀는 마돈나와 데이빗 보이를 섞어놓은 듯한 엔터테이너다.

패션쇼에서 저런 옷을 도대체 누가 입을까... 하는 옷들을 입는 사람이 레이디 가가다.

 옷으로 마음껏 자신을 표현하는 그녀의 당당함을 나는 좋아한다.

그녀는 캐톨릭 학교를 다녔는데 학교 다닐때도 자신이 다른 것 때문에 놀림을 당하기도 했다는데

확실히 그녀는 독특한 세계를 가지고 있다.

다행스럽게도(!) 음악적 재능이 있어 마음껏 표출하고 성공하여 인정을 받았지만

세상에는 이상하게 취급받는 자기만의 세계에 사는 사람들이 있다.

사회나 문화가 경직된 환경일수록 남들과 다르다는 것은 불편하고 외로운 일이다.

남과 다른 재능이 인정받아 독특한 표현도 인정 받고 지지를 받을 수 있다면 좋겠다.

아예 생소한 표현 때문에 재능을 보기도 전에 싹부터자른다면 다양성이 자랄 수 없다.

모두가 자신을 피하고 이상하게 생각하는데 그것을 추구하기는  어렵기 때문이다.

우리 사회도 레이디 가가 같은 여성 엔터테이너가 나올 수 있을까?

재능이 없어 자신의 세계를 공감받지 못하고 그냥 괴상한 사람으로 살더라도

자아를 표현하고 실현하는 사람은 자유로운 사람일 것이다.

그녀의 퍼포먼스는 온몸으로 하는 행위예술이다.

 

그녀는 자신의 몸과 성에 대해서도 거리낌없이 당당하다.

기괴하거나 섬찟하기까지 한 의상은 마치 사람들을 어디까지 밀어부칠 수 있는지

실험이라도 하는 것 같다.

나 이렇게 태어났어요...좋아하든 싫어하든 상관없어요 하듯 마음껏 자신을 표현한다.

우리나라에도 자기 개성을 맘껏 표출하는 이런 가수가 한번 나왔으면 좋겠다.
